Sensei/Shihan John Dombeck, PhD is the Head Instructor of our studio (Budo), and very rarely performs full demonstrations.
Make the time to be amazed.
Sensei Dombeck is one, if not the, best practitioners of Classical Martial Arts in Minnesota. His speed, power, endurance and precision in forms will boggle your mind, and his skill and knowledge of classical weapon arts is unmatched in the state. He is a 5th degree black belt in empty-hand martial arts and a 4th degree black belt in Kobudo (Weapons) - the highest ranking practitioner in Minnesota - under the world renowned expert and weapons icon Master Tadashi Yamashita. See what someone who trains diligently for 25 years under a true master of the arts can do. This is not brawler technique or entertainment focused, but true classical martial arts.

Whether you are interested in studying
highest quality classical martial arts or you just want to see something
really cool in the Twin Cities. This demonstration is for you.
No Video Recording is Allowed ! If you want to see
it, you need to be there. Shihan/Sensei Dombeck will be performing
demonstrations of empty-hand and many different weapons for 2 hours*,
and will still only cover a small part of the art.
Everyone
is welcome and encouraged to attend
(except for previous Brown and Black Belt students who are no longer
in good standing).

The main purpose of the demonstration is just to show what is possible through diligent focus on our art for general interest - for both current students and the general public, however, information and specials will be available on classes for those who attend. There will be No sales pitch or push to join. In essence, Sensei Dombeck is/was a typical person when he started. Anyone is capable of achieving his abilities with diligence, loyalty, commitment and respect for the style, instruction and instructor of our art. Such training also improves many other aspects of life and brings much more awareness of yourself, those around you and your experiences. It also gives you many abilities to be of value and be of benefit to those around you.
Mastery does not come easily and requires sacrifice, but the results are well worth it.

* - Demonstration will be 2 hours if at least 40 people attend the event with at least 18 non-current students/parents. If tless people attend, the event will be held for at least 1 hour. We reserve the right to cancel the event for circumstances outside of our control. If the event is cancelled, a refund will be provided to those who pre-registered.
